Hello! I am a bit worried and wanted to have some insight so here I am. On the first of January I started my menstrual cycle about 5 days late ( which rarely happens to me, but the month before that I was about three days late) the period in itself was very light. The first day was a bit heavy but every day after that was light ( light as in I played tennis about day three and four in with no tampon and I had no spotting on my panties). About a day or so after I figured my period was gone, my boyfriend and I decided to have intercourse, after we finished we noticed there was blood on the bed. I went into the bathroom and wiped brown blood from my vagina. About a day after that I started noticing brown spotting in my panties, and every day after that it has significantly gotten worse to now its fresh blood and my tampons are soaked with blood. Today is my 10th day on my period with the two days inbetween where I thought I was finished. I am a 23 yearold & have never been on any type of birth control. I was thinking maybe its because I was 5 days late and with it being so light this is my actual period now? I don't know it just worries me a bit! I have light cramps but feel fine otherwise. I did break out a bit more than usual but I suspect thats normal lol. I am not a doctor type person and was wondering if I should wait it out a bit more, or if anyone has had the same experience in the past. Thank you!

Hello there.
There are so many delayed period reasons that you can face to. It seems to me, according to those things that you have wrote up there, that you had a miscarriage.
Maybe I am wrong, but I was in the same situation. My period was 10 days late, I had all period symptoms. But nothing.
I was sure that I was not pregnant and that is why I haven't done pregnancy test in the first place.
Anyway, one morning I woke up and I saw a huge amount of the blood in my bed. I was sure that this happens to me because my period is late and that this is the repercussions of this.
After seven days there was a huge amount of the blood. Nothing has changed.
I made an appointment with my gynecologist and one day before I needed to go to see what is going on with me, "something fell out" from me.
Very soon, I was not bleeding anymore.
I went to see my doc and he told me that I had miscarriage.
That is why you need to check this as well.
Good luck.
