First, I must say that I am SO SORRY that you are hurting! The only thing I've been addicted to is nicotine, so I can't speak from PERSONAL experience, only that my 24-year-old son is a heroin addict for the past 4 years. He is currently detoxing here at home. My brother, who is a little over 1 year clean from heroin told me about Naltrexone, which he was prescribed, and he said it took ALL cravings away and it is non-addictive and does not give you the high like suboxone and methadone are & do. The only problem is that you have to be clean for 7-10 days before starting it or it can cause death. My son doesn't have any energy yet either. I don't think the energy drinks are good, because they can exacerbate anxiety. I can only suggest things that I've read, which are going for walks, drink a LOT of fluids, watch motivational movies/spiritual t.v. shows, etc. And personally, I know that prayer can and does work. Heroin has taken my son DOWN. I hope that even in some small way this has helped you, and possibly someone else. Please don't give up on yourself - you CAN do this! I will pray for you, as well as any and all who are addicted to any substance. Take care!!
