The amount of salt in your sweat is being measured. For this test, doctors rub a small amount of a chemical called pilocarpine on arm or leg, attach an electrode and a mild electric current produces sweat. It makes you have sensation of tingling or a feeling of warmth. After 30 to 40 minutes, they collect the sweat on the pad or paper to have it analyzed.
