I was diagnoesed with "wooden" testicals of scrotum following a procedure to remove clips and scare tissue from a vasectomy. My scrotum swelled and turned hard. The urologist he had removed all contents of scrotum to search for other causes of post vasectomy pain.
I cannot find these terms anywhere - was he giving me a line? :$ :'(

I haven’t heard of wooden testicles either but the post op vasectomy pain is very well known. However, I also know that doctors don’t have a clue what this pain is all about except if it’s not from an apparent physical injury during vasectomy.
My brother in low had vasectomy done 2 years ago and he still suffers recurrent pain.
I known he was taking medications for it.
What did your urologist explain hides behind the term “wooden testicle”? The explanation may be easier to understand that the name itself.

Doctor said my testicals had swollen and become hard - like wood. I suspect they were enormous blod clots. Is that helpful?

I talked with my brother-in-law about the possibility of blood clots in vasectomy and he
said that his doctor told him to rest for a few days after the procedure, apply ice on the scrotums and no exercise for at least 2-3 weeks in order to avoid these blood cloths.
If they do form, they could cause the swelling but they stop on their own and resorb on their own in the scrotum after some time if they are not too large.
He also said that swelling and pain could indicate some sort of infection or the swelling of the epididymis. Have you had that checked?

I just went to the doctor today I will let you know what happens if you want.
Also what have you done about your's?
