I had surgery a week ago to remove my right ovary which had become one with a large (10 cm) cyst. I was shocked to receive a follow up call from my ob/gyn telling me that the pathology report showed the cyst was borderline. But he repeated to me that it is not cancer and all other organs look healthy. I've been referred to an oncologist for a second opinion. But i'm really concerned, confused by the borderline term and don't know what to expect next. Has anyone been here?

I'm in your situation also. 5 days ago, I went to surgery to remove a cyst, it end it up doctor removing my right ovary and tube. Also he performed "periotonal washing". I was also in shock to find out that the cyst is a "borderline". The washing was fine, negative. Now my doctor refers me to a oncologyst. My doctor said "your cure" "you won't need quimoteraphy" (how can he be so sure?) ... I still worry and waiting to talk with the oncologyst..I don't know what to expect. Does anyone knows?
