Since around late December/January I have noticed that my stomach is very hard to the touch and looks very swollen. Sometimes this changes with when I eat, but it is constantly hard all the time. Also, my lower abdomen seems to be the most swollen and it looks as if I am pregnant when I know I am not. I have had very heavy periods and not had unprotected sex since my abortion in October in which I was told that I was definitely and without a doubt not pregnant after (I am not sure if this also contributes to my problem?) and I have taken multiple pregnancy tests since these symptoms started that came out negative.
I started a new birth control around this time, but it was just the generic version of the birth control I have been taking for 6 years so I don't think this is the problem.
I am pretty sure that I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, but I am going to the OB/GYN on 3/3 so at that point I will ask about that. I am not sure if that is a contributing factor either.
I am not having any problems really with bowel movements, so I do not think this is a stomach issue. However as of late, I have had a real lack of appetite and most of the time I just eat because I know I have to, not because I am actually hungry. Not a lot of food appeals to me lately and I have been eating way way less than I normally do, which would make me think that I should be losing weight, not gaining it. I am overweight to begin with so it is not that obvious to tell that my stomach is swollen but I know because it is such an uncomfortable feeling.
Like I said, I will be going to the OB/GYN on 3/3 so I will ask these questions to her, I just wanted to get some kind of input as to what could possibly be going on with my body until that time comes. Thanks! :-)

i know im a year too late but you could very well have a tapeworm they cause lack of appetite and distends your belly. i hope not to scare you but you could have pcos and tapeworms at the same time. you should check out dr. natura's colon cleanser and see if that helps you at all. good luck!
