I am overly fatigued, my upper back feels like the vertebrae are rubbing on eacho ther, bone against bone, my lower back has a herniated disc. I have ringing in my ears, nausea, headache. I feel like a fat, wet rag. The fatigue makes it impossible to get moving some days (like today), that makes me feel like a worthless, lazy slob.
I would really like to do things, but i am way too tired. I am a 46 yr old female.
dr has checked thyroid levels, which they say are fine. I am so tired of being tired and in pain.

I wish someone could find something that can be done.

Hi! Well I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread. I've been having similar symptoms since February and it's really starting to get to me. My Doctor doesn't want to listen to me, he just figures I'm stressed and keeps prescribing meds that would make me want to sleep all the time. I keep trying to tell him that I'm not stressed about anything other then what is going on with my health. I have constant pressure in the head, headaches, nausea, loss of appetite which has led to weight loss, and from time to time I have a hot flushing sensation that goes from my chest up into my head. I've been through a whole series of tests and am waiting to have a CT scan. It's taking forever for them to book that test, so here I turn to the internet to try to find something that could help.

for all of you who have sinus pressure, headaches that feel like they are right behind your eyes and go from there over the top of your head on either side or both, with nausea. I used to have that exact same problem. It would put me out for days and it really sucked. My doctor thought it was a problem with my muscles tightening and not letting go so he put me on a muscle relaxer. That didn't work.

After much prodding from friends, I went to see a chiropractor. Turns out that my top two vertebrae were extremely out of whack. That was what was causing my head aches. I'll tell you upfront though that at first you're going to feel worse and you'll probably have to go 3 times a week for a month or so, but you WILL begin to feel better. I only go every now and then now whenever things get so bad that i can't stand it. I go in for one adjustment and I'm good for another 3 to 6 months. it's well worth a try. I found out the nausea was from the intense pain I was feeling, which of course lead to a loss of appetite. maybe it's the same for all of you. Also I learned that any pain or pressure that resonates to your ears can possibly cause vertigo (dizziness). Overall though, any pressure in your head is not good.

Call around to the Chiropractors in your area though and see if there are any that will work with you on payment options if you are strapped for cash. I know how it can add up. There are some that will work with you though just ask.

Good luck to you all! I hope this helps a lot of you!

have you been test for lupus? Make sure you get copies of all the blood work and test results that they do on you as well. I have also been told that I have fibromyalgia. Just recently though I had the worst case of nausea with dizziness and loss of appitite. I'm determined this time to get results instead of the ususal "I can find anything wrong with you" response. Good luck

I've been having similar problems for quite some time, I'm 23, m, and about 10st (140 pounds). Over the past year my appetite has gone way downhill and I feel unwell throughout the day at work (Stomach ache, stomach rumbling constantly, burping, nausea). I'm also finding that I am extremely tired in the day. Today (Monday) was the worst, I just couldn't stop yawning the entire day on top of feeling unwell and I couldn't concentrate at all. I even found it hard to finish my lunch and had to spend a hour outside due to feeling sick. Sunday I had a headache for most of the day. It's the kind of thing I find really difficult describing to the doctor- mainly because I did it before and I'm sure he thought it was because I wanted time off work.

I have a healthy lifestyle- I go out walking and cycling a lot and I eat really healthily. I also make sure to drink enough in the day. So why should this happen?? Maybe waking up at 6am and not getting back till 6:30pm does have something to do with it but other people seem to cope fine...

A few months ago I was seriously travel sick for quite a long time going to and from work but this seems to have stopped. But I still feel tired and generally unwell throughout the day. I travel for 4 hours each day. What on earth is wrong with me? Help please!!

Hey-

Are any of you on birth control? I have been feeling the same exact way, people think I'm nuts. But honestly, that can be the reason. I had gone to the hospital and they also told me I am hypoglycemic ( I have low blood sugar). try keeping a steady diet and GET SLEEP. that might do the trick. keep me posted!

I was watching medical mysteries a couple of days ago and one woman reported the same symptoms for almost a year to her doctor. She sought out a cancer specialist and she did a spinal tap--she was very low in her fluids in the spine. (should be 15 to 20 and she had only 1). So she had a leak which was in her sinus cavity. She had it patched and feels good now (after 17 surgeries). It has been four years now.

Because a good deal of posters seem to be pretty young, you might want to be tested for Epstein-Barr virus or the mono virus, mononucleosis. Depression is also likely for some of the posters.

more info:

Mononucleosis, or "mono," is a contagious viral illness caused by the Epstein Barr virus that initially attacks the lymph nodes in the neck and throat.

Causes and Risk Factors of Mononucleosis
Mononucleosis is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus, a member of the herpes virus family. The disease develops if the virus is encountered for the first time at an age when the response of the body's immune system is most vigorous (that is, during adolescence and early adult life). The peak incidence of the illness occurs around the ages of 15 and 17.

Mononucleosis spreads by contact with moisture from the mouth and throat of a person who is infected with the virus. In addition to kissing; sharing drinking glasses, eating utensils, and toothbrushes, or touching anything that has been near the mouth of an infected person, may result in transmission of the disease.

Symptoms of Mononucleosis
Typically, the initial symptoms and signs of mono occur about 10 days after exposure in children and 30 to 50 days after exposure in adults. These symptoms include lack of energy, headache, fatigue, loss of appetite and chills.

After three to five days, any combination of the more intense symptoms and signs may become present, including:

* severe sore throat

* fever

* swollen glands in the neck, armpits and groin

* nausea

* vomiting

* upset stomach

* enlarged spleen

* enlarged liver

* swollen eyelids

* swelling around the eyes

* rash

* weight loss

* drowsiness

* muscle aches or stiffness

Less frequently occurring symptoms and signs include:

* mild jaundice (a yellowish tint to skin)

* neck stiffness

* sensitivity to light/FONT

* cough

* shortness of breath

* chest pain

* rapid and/or irregular heart rate

* nosebleeds

* hives

Hope this helps!

I'm 17 and I have no idea what's going on in my body these days...I'm having headaches, neck and shoulder pain, all over body aches, chills, sweats, nausea, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and for some reason I always find food unappealing. I feel nauseated whenever I see blood, guts, or see needles and I'm never like that. It just came on suddenly one day. I have disorientation too
