My HoLEP doctor told me after HoLEP surgery all sexual function remains the same except yiu will have retrograde ejaculation. The prostate is what pushes the sperm out through the penis. Since the only thing left of the prostate is the outside shell, the sperm goes into the bladder and is later expelled when urinating. I am 6 weeks post surgery and had sex after day 17 and a few times since. Everything is fine regarding sex, even still have a climax, just nothing comes out. That is the only down side to HoLEP. But it's a trade off and worth it since I can now urinate. I still enjoy my sex life with my wofe. I am 68 years old. PS I wake up most mornings with morning wood. That didn't happen as much before my procedure.
