I used to run on a regular basis. I was pretty good at it. In fact, my time was approaching those of the top race winners. I was about to enter major competitions. Then I was forced to stop and recover from pneumonia. I am no longer in a good form. I have to do it all over again. Do you have any tips for my first run after recovery?

Don’t worry. Take your time. Once you get the green light from your doctor you can start running again. You will be back in form in no time. It has been proved that getting back in form is much easier and takes less time than getting there for the first time. Well trained body such as yours will respond quickly to the workout regimen. Just start slowly and run for the fun of it for the first couple of times. Then you can gradually increase the intensity or distance.
