Hello, guys. My son had some vision problems and we took him to the doctor. He is 2,5 years old. It seems that he has ptosis. I would like to know if this condition can affect sight. Can anyone tell me this? I will appreciate all your replies considering this topic.

Hello. Of course ptosis affects sight. Since the eyelid covers eyeball, that eye is not used properly. This is definitely something that would affect sight. I guess your son will be recommended a surgery. Usually, these surgeries are not recommended to be done when one is younger than 3. However, if ptosis is serious and interferes with vision, then it can be done earlier. See what your kid’s ophthalmologist recommends. Good luck! Bye!
