Three weeks ago I was benching and when my arms were extended all the way up the weight slipped and landed on my chest, the pain is subsiding, but when I lift something more than 30lbs I can feel pain in my sternum. When I cough and especially sneeze it feels like my aorta explodes. I work in the medical field and know my aorta is not really exploding it just feels like it to me for 2-3 minutes then the pain goes away. If I do cardio it doesn't hurt any worse when I breath heavy. How long do you think until I can lift again?
