Have any of you ever felt an electrical sensation in your head? Kind've like a tiny jolt? These have been happening to me occasionally in the past 3 or 4 days, leaving me in somewhat mild discomfort for a while. It's kind've freaking me out. So, yeah, has this happened to anyone? Do you know what causes it? My mother thinks I pinched a nerve in my head, but I'm quite skeptical nevertheless. My searches online have turned up jack.
No, I'm not on any medications or coming off of any medications, so I doubt it's "brain zaps" caused by withdrawls.
It only happens on the left side of my head, around my temple. It also only happens when I move my jaw or bite down hard on something, but, strangely, it doesn't happen every time. It's quite occasional, but enough to make me worry. It also seems to leave me with a slight headache, but that's probably because I keep moving my jaw and rubbing my head with pressure.
I'm a little worried - help me out, please.

Hey, I am sorry i can offer you any advice, but i can tell you that i know exactly what you are feeling, it has been happening to me very randomly for over ten years! when it happens, it happens no n stop for a few days, then goes away, and come back a long time later!!! It feels like this unexplainable pain shoot to my head, dabilitating for a few sec's and then it lets up. I do have neck nerve damage so maybe your mom is right, but i always secretly say to myself, oh my god i hope i don't have a brain tumor.

Hi. not sure of the spelling, but there is a syndrome called tic de la roux (sp), which accounts for a sharp shooting pain in the brain/eyes. My father has it now for a couple years. it is not dangerours necessarily, but painful ! some meds can control it. check with a doctor.
