At the age of 23 - I was told I had Endometriosis. Between 1993 and 2002
I have had 5- laparoscopy, 1- GI, 1 - endo scope, 1 - GU, 1 - cystogram.
I have been on and off many different medications which has put me through menapause 2 times already (from the meds). I have been through mood swings that where pretty bad.(depression.)
At the age of 34 - I had enough with the pain I was have - So,
I had a hysterectomy (left the ovariers in ). I felt great after that - no pain.
I don't have any children - " I am fine with that decision - I have 4 legged
kids - a spoiled dog and cat."
Now, age 36 - I just got menapause. I was experiecning the night sweats-
I would have to get up and change my night shirt in the middle of the night
2 or 3 times. During the day there would be times I feel like I have to take 2 or 3 showers. I was losing sleep because of all this - Then it would
make me moody. My doctor did give me medication.
SOME CONCERNS: 1. I have a poor appetite
2. not much energy at times.
3. below my belly button feels tender to the touch
- could this be hormones ajusting?
I was just wondering - I just started on the medication - Is my concerns
something that will get worked out or should I address this with the doctor.

It is quite possible that you are adjusting to the hormones. Some of the most common HRT side effects that don’t require doctor’s attention are decreased appetite, nausea, abdominal cramping and vaginal spotting. There are many other side effects like tender breasts, swollen breasts, breast pain, weight gain, etc
These symptoms should subside when the body gets used to the hormones. If they don’t subside, become worse and severe or you develop other severe symptoms, you should report this to your doctor immediately.
Doctors usually prescribe lower doses in order to avoid side effects and if you feel that your dose is high, you may talk to your doctor about it.
