When I sleep, sometimes my leg falls asleep. I wake up and throw it out of bed so my foot touches the floor. (my bum is still on the bed) Once feeling comes back to it, I don't feel the tingly sensation. Instead, when I try to move it back into bed, a wave of deep, excruiciating pain travels up my entire leg. I am frozen in pain until it dies down. I end up slowly moving it back into bed, by that time it seems to be ok to move. I them feel a bubbling sensation for a min. What's wrong with me?? ;(

I have this same problem. If my arm or leg "falls asleep" it is excruciatingly painful while it "wakes up" which usually takes 30 seconds to a minute, I'm guessing, but feels like a lot longer.  Even the slightest movement makes it way worse and I try to remain as still as possible until it fully wakes up and the pain subsides. People think I am exaggerating when I explain to them that I cannot move because the pain is the most painful thing I have ever felt.  It didn't use to be this way for me. I believe it started when I was a teenager, but before that it was fine.  That pain was instead just a tingling/numb sensation that I enjoyed as a kid.

I have same issue. This is NOT a cramp. But it is excruciating pain. If I move my leg even one little bit this amplifies the pain a 100 fold. I have to remain perfectly still for about a minute and this pain gradually goes away. What precedes this is that my thigh and leg falls asleep. When it wakes up, this is when the pain starts. I've had this issue since i was a kid, I'm 45 now. I'm wondering if this has to do with blood flow and the pain is when the blood first begins flowing normally again - not sure.

I have this exact same problem! It happens normally when I have to sit on the floor at school for about 20-30 min. I feel it tingly, normal leg asleep pain. I get up 30sec-1min it fades away. A minute or two later a wave of excruciating pain hits. I can’t move my legs cause the pain ncreases by 100. I cant even move my legs or walk, my legs don’t work. I try to walk and I stumble and fall. I have to wait a full 2-3 min sometimes 5 minutes until it subsides. Then I can walk again like normal

It's normal. It's your nerves 'reconnecting' to your pain receptors after they were pinched off from a poor body position. I'm the same way - I dare not move while the nerves reactivate. That c**p hurts alot in a weird kinda way.
