Hello! I had cervical disc replacement surgery in October 2016 after what was probably years of living with an undiagnosed injury. The disc was compressing my spine 50%. I am beyond frustrated and depressed with my "recovery."
Since surgery, I've struggled with intense muscle spasms in my neck, shoulders and upper back. I still have head aches a the base of my skull, anxiety, dizziness and weakness. I feel like I have lost control and am having all kinds of aches and pains that are being attributed to the possible two year recovery.
I've tried physical therapy, massages (relief for 1-2 weeks) and most recently acupuncture. I don't like how muscles relaxers make me feel so I rely upon Xanax to help me relax.
Has anyone dealt with the same frustration? I'm wondering if my body dislikes the titanium and is retaliating. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
