I've had a lot of the same problems....... I don't get hungry anymore and when I eat I feel like getting sick. I started losing weight really fast. I get some stomach cramping after eating but that was about it.

after over a month and several tests my doctors figured out that my stomach doesn't empty properly. I have some medication I have to take 30min before each meal and it seems to be helping

I have the same problem. Im a 16 year old boy and before all of this happened I weighed about 139 and after a week and a half of almost no appetite at all i've dropped to 123. i feel like vomiting after a puny cup of cereal and medicines only make me throw up. I was told that i might have been constipated but I had diarrhea for several days. My parents feel that it's more important for me to go to school than go to the doctor and i dont know if it's something serious such as cancer. Does anyone have any tips or an idea of whats wrong with me?

Hello:

I got a h. pylori (heliobacter) infection after eating at a Mexican restaurant near the US/MEX border. Never again. I am so done with eating out.

Anyway, after doing a lot of research online, here is what I've done to knock these bacteria out after 20 days.

Thjs is what you will need if you are sure that you have h. pylori (I AM NOT A MEDICAL DOCTOR):

1. Plain kefir, such as Nancy's Dairy
2. Natren Digestalac Probiotic
3. Natren Healthy Trinity Probiotic, enteric capsules
4. Medical magnets such as those sold on amazon.com (4 is what I used)
5. Waterproof or paper medical tape to tape the magnets on your stomach area/abdomen

I learned online that the traditional medical treatment of taking a series of three different pills twenty times per day has a failure rate of at least 15% right off the bat.

This is what I've learned and have successfully done:

1. Kefir will kill h pylori outright. I live in the USA and here, Nancy's Dairy produces a plain kefir which is the brand I am using. The fruit kefirs (peach, blackberry, strawberry) are only somewhat helpful. The plain is the best and is what I drink at all hours of the day and night - symptoms are worse at night - the kefir will alleviate these symptoms and I felt my stomach "cleaner" after ingesting especially after the first time.

2. Natren Probiotics. I have a book on probiotics by Natasha Trenev and she says L. Bulgaricus will kill h pylori. I am using both dairy and non-dairy powdered forms. This is available in the USA - Natren is the company - natren dot com.

3. Also a Natren Probiotic is an expensive but worth it product which has all 3 of the beneficial bacteria in an specially-coated capsule which survives stomach acid and opens in the intestine giving a super powerful immune boost to the intestines. h pylori causes stomach ulcers at the base of the stomach, so to battle it at both ends (oral & digestive tract) I am using it in addition to the bulgaricus powder (4T per day throughout the day). One capsule of the Natren Healthy Trinity capsules; expensive at $109.00 USD but worth every cent. natren dot com

4. Tape medical magnets to your abdomen - these magnets give off a Positive charge and bacteria such as h. pylori can only live in a negatively-charged environment. Here is a link to the ones I used:

http://www.amazon.com/Neodymium-Magnets-Coated-Magnetic-Therapy/dp/B00129I7TY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1310581245&sr=8-1

The magnets create a positively charged environment that the bacteria cannot live in. I left the magnets on for hours at a time taking them off only to shower so they do not get wet. Takes about 3 days for me to notice a huge difference and one week to return to normal.

I noticed about 1/2 hour after taping on the magnets (one on each quad of my abdomen or right on areas where I felt most discomfort), that the area inside my stomach felt "cleaner" and a day or so later I could feel where the pylori took up residence and where a subsequent sore or wound had developed. The medical magnet placed over this area really helped get rid of these bacteria and now the wound healing could take place.

GIVE YOURSELF TIME TO HEAL - AT LEAST A WEEK AFTER THE BACTERIA ARE GONE TO ALLOW YOUR STOMACH SORES TO HEAL.

No caffeine, no alcohol. Drink Classic Coke to settle your stomach if you feel nauseous.

While on my plan, I wrote: "I am eating a diet that consists of fresh fruit and vegetables and some grains. Last night I was able to eat my first pita breads - up until then, I made a wheat or oat cereal."

"This is what I am eating (during treatment):
Breakfast and throughout the day along with the kefir:
1 orange, navel
Sliced cantaloupe melon
homemade oatmeal, no seasonings or sweetner or butter
homemade wheatmeal, no seasonings or sweetner or butter
small green salad, minimal olive oil in the oil & vinegar salad dressing
steamed broccoli
steamed asparagus

No oils or fats; no animal proteins; no sugars or honey; no carbonated beverages unless you need Classic Coke (NOT Diet and not a generic brand, but the real deal: Coca Cola Classic). btw, every pharmacy sells "syrup of cola" because in the old days, coca cola was a medicinal remedy for upset stomach and nausea, like that associated with pregnancy nausea.

When you are feeling better and can feel the sore spots and ulcers scabbing over in your tummy, then a small cup of organic milk low fat cottage cheese.

I had my first protein, hard-boiled egg and hot dog after 7 days of treatment.
Best to all."

Sorry this is so long, but I really don't want anyone else to suffer through this condition.

Again, if you are unsure of what you have, please see a medical doctor for a diagnosis and treatment. You may have some other condition other than a bacteria infection.

Take care.

Sorry, I made a mistake regarding the magnets: You need to tape the Negative side of the magnet, marked with an "N" or the directions on the package will indicate.

I mistakenly stated in my post above "Positive."

"4. Tape medical magnets to your abdomen - these magnets give off a Positive charge and bacteria such as h. pylori can only live in a negatively-charged environment."

I have it reversed: the bacteria love to live in Positive enviro and the Negative-charge will kill them off.

The magnets I used are made by MagneLyfe. One magnet is 1-1/2" Bio Magnetic disk at 1600 gauss.

The other two are rated at over 10,000 gauss.

The fourth one I used is a spiral bio-magnet which is no longer available.

Sorry for the error, there is no "Edit" function which lasts for 48 hours - this longevity would be helpful.

For the passed for years now I have had problems with large meals, they make me tired and incredibly bloated. However when I have cut down to just a small bowl of food, this has not happened at all. I am an athlete so am trying to keep fit and healthy so small meals are not a bad thing. However is there any suggestion as to what has caused this?

I am a massage therapist and student obtaining my BS in Nutrition, so I have had a good amount of Anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry and pathology courses. I also experienced many similar digestive symptoms and spent two years seeing different doctors and undergoing all sorts of tests with doctors finally telling me it was all in my head. I also had been experiencing fatigue on top of the digestive symptoms and had trouble sleeping and staying asleep. I was 21 when this all started and lived this way for 3 years thinking there was no solution until I met Dr. Lee, a functional endocrinologist. Functional medicine is all about finding the ROOT OF THE PROBLEM, NOT just treating symptoms. Through a simple saliva test we were able to figure out that my adrenal glands were not functioning properly due to a stressful event that happened in my life when I was 21, which is when these symptoms began. Also, through a simple elimination diet we found out I am allergic to dairy and gluten. All you have to do is eliminate common inflammatory foods: gluten, dairy, soy, corn and peanuts for 3-4 weeks and each week after that only introduce one of these foods back into your diet at a time. Without cleansing your system of all these foods over the course of 3-4 weeks you will not be able to notice the difference and I noticed some of your posts say you didn't notice a difference after ingesting certain foods, well this is why. Processed foods from the grocery store and fast food restaurants as well as stressful events are being linked to the cause of many of these food intolerances that are becoming much more common in our society. Cooking for yourself is the key to assure you are not ingesting these harmful, laboratory produced foods found nowhere in nature. I am not a vegetarian, but I only eat poultry on occasion and fish twice a week because eating meat creates an acidic environment in your body which is an environment in which disease, especially cancer thrives. If you eat fish, make sure it is only wild caught so you are not eating a farm raised fish that has been swimming around in its own feces and if you eat meat make sure it is free range, hormone and antibiotic free...why would you want to the meat of a stressed out animal trapped in a tiny space so small that it cannot even turn around who is shot up with unnatural growth hormones and antibiotics because it is constantly sick due to its poor environment. ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed***...it's just a big business like all the rest. Humans are the only species on planet earth who drink the milk of another animal and the only species who drinks any form of milk after infancy. Man created the dairy industry, nature did not intend it. Most chronic disease is caused by improper nutrition...YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. Teach yourself to cook by experimenting in the kitchen and eat more vegetables and gluten free grains like quinoa an brown rice, they are delicious! I hope this helps, because even if your doctor diagnosis you with IBS or some other digestive disorder, he/she isn't going to give you the tools you need to feel better. Eating well for YOUR BODY is the only way to treat the root of your problem!

Hey......i was going through the same problem from past 2 weeks. one night i had a heavy Indian chicken dish and then dint eat at all for the following two days. the fullness continued for a week. I believed it could be gastroparesis, as i have chronic acidity too. I tried some home remedies like keeping a wet cloth on my stomach after every meal and i drank a mix of concentrated lemon juice+ginger juice+sugar and lil water....this home made juice gave me immense relief from my stomach pain and fullness. These home remedies have really helped me to a great extent, however now i have stared taking homeopathy for the same.

I am having the same thing. I ate About 6 of the 12 Dorrito tacos from the taco 12 pack about a week ago. I'm really scared because ever since then my appetite has diminished and I feel sick to my stomache (nausea) everyday. I'll sit down and it'll get pretty bad when i sit down (like when i'm in a car, though i'm don't get car sickness) , but I'll feel better or close to it when I stand up. I'm really worried because I've been hearing that it sounds like gallstones due to the sh*t in Taco Bell's beef. I haven't been to the doctor and I'm a little worried to. Best of luck to everyone, hopefully this'll pass...

About two months ago, i was staying at my friends house, and one morning I woke up, and I felt terrible. For the next two days, I couldn't eat very much, if anything. Since then I only eat about two meals a day, and they are roughly half the size of my normal meals. I almost never eat breakfast, and if I do it's on the bus going to school, or during classes. I've recently started running, and that hasn't helped my appetite either. I find that especially after the hard days, my appetite is even smaller. Most days I only eat because my parents force me to eat something. My parents, friends and I are rather worried about this, and I think it's really affecting my performance in sports because I can't put forth enough effort to do my best because I get dizzy. I drink plenty of water and gatorade everyday. If anybody knows what could have caused this or how I can better, please let me know. I want to be able to eat again. Thank you.

Have you had a HIDA Scan? I had similar symptoms for years and was frequently told that it was IBS. Finally a doctor listened to me and ordered an ultrasound. It showed no gall stones but my doctor was determined to really check before dismissing it as IBS. The HIDA Scan indicated that my gallbladder wasn't properly functioning (to be frank, it was barely functioning at all. I had the gall bladder removed and I was feeling better within 4 days of surgery.

It was not caught earlier because I do not have any of the typical risk factors for gallbladder problems (age, weight, family history). I have, however, been on birth control for the long term. One side effect of all birth control is the potential for gall bladder issues.

Check with your doctor. And, don't forget to remind them that ultimately it is your health and you should have some control over your care. Good luck.
