It sounds like you may have whats called a varacocile. This is when varicose veins (like those seen in legs of some people) form in the scrotum. This is caused by a valve in your veins not functioning properly, and the blood can't flow back up the body, therefore building up in the scrotum. This appears in about 15% of all men aged 15-25 (usually caused during pubity).

Not to say you definatly do have this. I am not a doctor. I have just suffered a varacocile before, and had to go have an operation to get it fixed, in order to stay fertile in later life. The surgery only involved cutting a vein about an inch above my left leg. Which is meant to allow the blood to find another path back the the heart. Though I have recently decided I think i might have to go back, because i dont think it has all gone. Which believe me even at 20yrs old can be a very embarassing feeling, but when you think of the concequences if you don't do it you, It is definatly worth getting checked out.

So if you want my opinion I would see your GP who can probably tell you if there is a problem or not, and if there is he will probably refer you to a specialist.

Best of luck

Can varicocele be detected by a blood work? How long after you have varicocele, varicose veins in the scrotum, you become permanently infertile?
