My son was diaganised for GBS on 07.04.09 and after administering IVG he has recovering slowly. He is 22 years old. He is saying that he can not run as earlier and even canot lift weights. He is undergoing physiotherapy also. Otherwise he seems to be normal and complains of tiredness often. Will he become normal? He is unmarried now. If he is maried can he lead a normal life?

I am very sorry to hear that your son was diagnosed with GBS and I wish him all the best. I know that right now he's mostly on the path to recovery. I know that recovery from the syndrome is an ongoing process. He will become more or less normal, although he will probably need to work with the syndrome throughout his life. I am not sure how being married will change things! I'm sure that whomever he chooses to marry, they will be able to help him deal. PLease keep us posted. Is he engaged?
