Hi. I have noticed some sort of flat, tiny, cauliflower-like bumps on my penis. I went to see my doctor, he told me I have genital warts. Please help! I need some info. Can genital warts be treated?

Hi. Yes and no. Genital warts can be treated, and removed, but the virus stays inside your skin. The viral infection cannot be cured. This is the reason why genital warts come back after they have been removed. People with genital warts commonly have to remove them more than once. One way to remove genital warts is to freeze them, so called cryotherapy. You can also remove genital warts with a laser. There is also a treatment called the loop electrosurgical excision procedure. Certain chemicals can remove the warts.
