Hi, it is my 46th birthday tomorrow and I have just found out that I am pregnant. All natural. It seems that I conceived on my first wedding anniversary. It is extra special as I sadly lost my 9 year old daughter, three years ago. She had Downs syndrome and was awaiting a heart transplant. Despite this, I would cherish another child with Downs syndrome - she was the making of me. It will be my husbands first child - he is 58!!
I have had two miscarriages in the last few years and I know that the chance of it again is 50/50 - but I am still hopeful. I have two other children ages 18 and 16 - hope they might want to earn a few quid changing nappies!
Good luck to all you hopeful future mums.

Hi,
To everyone wanting to get pregnant, you should try accupuncture with chinese herbal therapy, and time sex with the OV Watch. I got pregnant for the first time at 39 this way after only 2 tries. My husband is HIV+, so I wanted to be as fertile as possible and try as least times as possible. This was after over 18 years together without protection 100% of the time and I never got pregnant before. The OV Watch tells you 4 days ahead of time when to have sex, so you dont miss the chance. It is sold online, just google it. Good Luck and lots of Baby Dust to You all. (Im going to try again soon too- Im 44 now).

Congratulations and so sorry for your loss. I'm in the US and have a normal healthy 6 year old boy. He is my first and only and I had him at 46, conceived after I gave up my career and wasn't so stressed out all the time! I hope your pregnancy goes well.

I am over the moon to hear your story. I am 43 and had tubal reversal early this year, and with every passing month I find myself more depress that I have no news to report to my fiancee. He does not have any children and I love him so much and would do anything to give him a child. I guess there is hope. G.C. You have given us much hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! What a joy it was to read through all of these posts and see women who were 45, 46 and 47 getting pregnant and having a baby.
I am 45. Had my first at 37, naturally no problem. Had m/c at 40. Had my son at 41, again naturally and no problems. Divorced my then husband (domestic abuse).
Now married 18 months to a wonderful man who is 32. He would like a baby with me. I would like a 3rd child. tried for 6 months with no luck and then went for a thyroid checkup and found my TSH was at 46. Yikes. That's why no luck. got thyroid back under control. Still nothing. Took Clomid for 3 months and produced nice follicles but still nothing. Went for bloodwork, FSH and was told it was too high at 25. Said my egg reserve is very low and eggs not of good quality.
This month I had intense paid during sex and also sitting! Went to doctor on day 13 of cycle. He gave me internal u/s and said OH MY GOSHHHHH. I had ovulated a nice great big follicle and to go home and make love. LOL. Well we had the 2 previous nights and so did for 2 more nights. Now waiting.
Doctor has me on 400mg progesteron suppositories 2x a day and low dose aspirin. The progesterone is horrible because it mimics early pregnancy signs: nausea, tender breasts, etc. I have all these signs but I know that it could just be the side effects of the progesterone.
Well, I was glad to read everyone's stories which gave me hope still at 45. I still have regular periods, and can only continue ttc and leave it in God's hands. Good luck to us all and God Bless!

I am 42, and suddenly my period stopped this month, although I had a regular 28-day cycle. Before my supposed period was due my breasts became tender and somewhat swollen that it was painful just to wear a bra. I am 9 days late and I have tested HPT twice but with negative results. What do you think is happening? I am afraid I am undergoing menopausal stage but is it not early for me? Can HPTs be inaccurate?
BTW, I have a son who is now 20 yrs old.

Like several other women on this post, I got married at 44. I became pregnant at 45. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks. I desperately wanted to try again, but had been told by fertility specialists that my chance of getting pregnant was virtually non-existent(especially with my own eggs). A year later I became pregnant again without any fertility interventions or procedures. At first I wasn't sure if my symptoms were signs of pregnancy or perimenopause (and was a little scared to find out). Needless to say, I was extremely nervous considering that I had miscarried the year before. But, after it was confirmed by the doctor I thanked God for granting me the desire of my heart. I gave birth on August 31, 2012 to a healthy baby boy. My pregnancy was beautiful and there were no complications. Fortunately for me my doctor was very supportive. They have to tell you what the scientific risks are. All I can say is every woman I know personally who has given birth in her mid to late forties has had healthy and whole babies with little or no complications. A lot has to do with your outlook and faith. Pray for a healthy pregnancy and baby. Remain positive each day and take care of yourself. Things will work out fine.
