Something terrible is going on with my son. He is all yellow. His skin and his eyes are yellowish. I had taken him to doctor immediately. He had suspect that something is wrong with his liver. But after a while he had concluded that he had something called Gilberts disease. What is it? Is it dangerous?

Do not panic. It is harmless disease, in some cases even helpful. It is usually called Gilbert's syndrome. It is condition that affects around 5% of population. It is usually hereditary. This condition means that liver in some people cannot convert bilirubin in form that is easily removed. Only affect is jaundice, so it is not so dangerous.
