There's nothing wrong being a shy guy. I'm 18, a lady and still shy myself at times. If girls are asking you out and you want a girlfriend just say yes (if that's the girl you wanna date) or don't answer them at all if you don't wanna hurt her feelings, just laugh if off or flash a smile. Or just tell her your not ready for a girlfriend, that's another way not to hurt her feelings.

Dont just laugh it off or walk away.. it could hurt the girls feeling even more making her feel stupid for even asking.. Trust me it takes a lot of confidence to ask someone out.. laughing at them could just lower there self esteem and make them feel like a m***n

If you really are too shy and you can't find the courage, just say something like "Sorry, I'm not looking for a relationship at the moment. But do you want to hang out sometime?" If she agrees go from there. If a girl asks you out who your not interested in, just say no, or if you want to restore her self esteem a bit you might want to compliment her, like. "No, but with a personality/looks like yours you're sure to find a guy" After some time you will get a bit more confidence. Remember no one can fully understand a girl. Just go slow and if she's going to fast just try to slow it down DONT plunge into the deep before you can swim
