I don't really want to get very political in bringing this up as whatever you really believe one way or the other, we can't do much about what's happening now. Mostly I'd just like to hear what everyone thinks about the actual bankruptcy and what lead up to it. I think that for the most part, it was a lot of mismanagement of the company and--worse yet--I think it was the gas prices last summer. What do you think?

Yes I think the gas prices had alot to do with it. I also think the overall economy kept auto sales down. People were afraid they might get laid off or lose their jobs.
The question I ponder most about....Have you ever known anything that has been run by the government to be much of a sucess?
I'm afraid GM, as we know it, is on it's way to becoming a thing of the past.

I'm not very sure that it will become the past. I think that this is not possible.
With bad economy people are less to be spending on things that are not necessary and I think food is in front of car. And many people now are struggling to survive.
Like you said gas price can be related to this. I hope that things are going to be better.
