Going to get off codeine and scared!

Sorry folks, I have now registered properly so......

I am addicted CODEINE.  I will be coming off in about 5 days and am scared.

I take between 16 - 25 tablets per day.  They are OTC tablets which contain 8mg of codeine each with 16mg caffeine and 325mg of acetomenophen (Tylenol).

I did once detox off of oxycontin (Oxycodone) at it was horrible!!! And heard that even this amount can be rather difficult to cold turkey it, so was thinking of a TAPER PLAN.  Does anyone know of one or can help me with a taper plan?  My husband will hold on to the bottle for me and dole out the doses.
