hair loss after stoping accutane

I started on Accutane three years ago for really bad back and chest acne. M 23 healthy. Being on the medication for 6 months. Highest dosage was 80mg. I lost quite a bit of hair. More noticeably around my calics. Huge bald spot on the top of my head towards the back. I've been off of the drug for two and a half years now. I'm still acne free and my hair has grown back to normal. I freaked out like everyone else about my hair but it did eventually come back. All the hair follicles fill the holes. I didn't take any herbs or supplements. Nothing special. My delicate hair just recovered naturally.

I am a 21 year old female. I took accutane for three months.my hair used to be the envy of everyone around but now I've lost 70% of my hair and I'll be bald in a couple of months.I also started having irregular periods and lost a lot of weight when I was really skinny to begin with.I just want to know if my hair will ever grow back to its former glory.I also read that accutane can make you barren.I feel so depressed and suicidal

you're sure your hair grew back? i have been off for 2 months now, and every time i comb through, my hair comes out in huge amounts. its extremely visible in the back, and went from normal/thick to grossly thin. i am so scared and nobody knows what to do or how to help me.

Hi everyone, I was on Accutane about 5 years ago, my skin cleared up nicely. was thinking about going on it again, I started breaking out again, but I know it is because of my BC. Not on the BC anymore, and thinking of waiting to see if it won't clear by itself in a couple of months. I can honestly say that I suffered hair loss just as bad. I lost about 50% of my hair and it continued after stopping my course of Accutane for about a month. Before I stopped taking Accutane I was on internet and googled like a maniac to get something to work, not to just stop the hair loss, but also to start re-growing my hair. I found a shampoo, called "IHT9" from a company in India (Lass Naturals). It worked wonders for my hair. Last year I started noticing hair loss again (think it was my BC), and I started using the shampoo again, within a month I could see less hair falling, and 2 months later it was back to normal. I do not get any kind of commission from Lass Naturals, I just want other people to know that there is hope out there.

About how long did it take for the hair loss to stop after taking accutane. 1 and a half months off of a 1 month treatment and still losing hair

Thank you, I took Absorica for one month and experienced a lot of hair shedding, burning scalp and burning skin. Last week I did my first foot detox, I am scheduled for 10 more plus a FIR sauna therapy. I want to say that the shedding has decreased in the last couple of days but every time I think that it sheds with a vengeance. It's nice to hear someone say it will get better with time. 2 months off, and still shedding, in the last couple of days it seems to be slowing down, but it's done this before then started again. I only took one month of 20mg. Of absorica. Stop eating anything with vitamin A, I just had a foot detox and am scheduled for 9 more, plus Sauna Therapy to get this med. Completely out of my system. I'm hoping it helps, looks like we're both in the same boat considering the amount and length it was taken. Please update and let me know how it is going for you.

Hey I took accutane and probably to long and high of a dose for my weight. I developed ulcerative colitis and severe hair thinning that wont stop. I was given laxatives the night before my colonoscopy, which Im assuming is the same as a colon cleanse. Yet Here I still have all these problems :(.

Hey, im a 20 yo female. I took accutane for 5 months ( i actually stopped it, cuz of practically all the side effects that were mentioned...i would wake up and vomit.. etc). Anyways after 3 months post accutane the shedding started. My hair was all over the place, and the worst is when i shower, it falls out in masses... now the shedding slowed down but, it's still not as before. I would like to give u an advice, keep it NATURAL. Onion juice will help with the hairloss. Although im suffering from accutane enduced anxiety, depression, as well as digestion problems, i still don't know what to do. If u guys have any natural remedy, it'll be most appreciated.
