For the past year, a hard bump has developed on my forehead, about the size of a nickel. Its hard, and does not move, like it is bone. It is not a result of injury, it just appeared.

I went to my doctor, and he sent me for an Xray. He just called me and told me the regular Xray wasn't clear and he would like to arrange a CT Scan to get a clear picture, just in case. He doesn't know what it is, and wants to be thorough.

I wasn't really nervous about it until the words CT Scan came up. Can anyone shed some light on this?
