Hello,

I have recently found a small (1mm), hard lump - a bit like a spot - on my left testicle. It does not hurt and seems close to the tubes joining onto it. There is no surface visibility, or visible veins. I'm just a bit worried as I'm 25 and, well, one usually gets worried when he finds a lump on one of his testicles.

I'm arranging a doctor's appointment for Monday but wondered if anyone has any immediate insight? I've not had any other symptoms. I eat a healthy diet but I am a smoker ('bout 10 a day).

Thanks to anyone with any info.

hey Chris,

While many lumps and bumps are harmless I'm glad you have an appointment with your doctor. he or she will be able to tell if it is cancerous or not. it is NEVER easy to go to someone when you have issues with your male parts (believe me) but remember if caught early cancer is usually treatable. plus even if you have to loose one testicle your other one produces more than enough sperm to be fertile!!!!!

good luck at your appointment and please keep me posted
thanks ;-)

Thanks very much for the reply. I saw a doctor yesterday and he said it seemed to be a cyst but I'll be referred for a scan anyway - it definitely put my mind at rest but we'll see what the scan has to say.

Thanks again,
C
