A brain tumour has left me (amongst many other deficits) completely (nerve) deaf in my right ear. I can hear quite well out of my left ear, but I often hear a pulsation noise in it. It usually starts like a slow steady pulse, building up to a rapid rate, so fast it's impossible to count, and certainly not in sync with my heartbeat - then, after a minute or two, it immediately stops! No more noise, no nothing! Back to normal- until the next time it occurs, usually in a day or so. Should I continue to ignor it? (Is it a type of tinnitus?) Or should I talk to my neurologist about it? (I don't really want to. I'm scared he'll want to investigate, and I'm fed up with Doctors and tests and hospitalizations.)
