Hi hon! There is no such thing as semi-unprotected sex! It's like saying "I'm a little pregnant!" :-)

If you can answer some of my questions I can help you further OK?

1. When did you have unprotected sex?
2. Was this the only time or has this been ongoing?
3. Are you usually regular with your periods?
4. Have either of you been tested for STI's/STD's?

I will help you further OK hon?!

Hey, how long should period last regular? When didn't you had issues like this? In this case, I really believe that you don't have a reason to be scared because I believe that you are ovulating and that this is why this small amount of blood came in. Also, I agree that this can be because of some STD, especially if the intercourse was unprotected, but I think that you would not be able to see it like next morning. It takes a time to notice that and every STD usually comes with some other symptoms, not just spotting.  Hope it helps.

OK! So you had sex then the next morning you had your period? Is that right? As long as he didn't ejaculate inside you and pulled out before the chances of you being pregnant are slim! HOWEVER!!! What you practiced is called "Family Planning or Natural Birth Control" it has a 60 - 70% success rate! Due to people having to have TOTAL control and not have ANY sperm on them at all! I think you are in the clear hon! And because your period was wonky, doesn't have any revelance to your situation! It takes a whole month of work by your body to get your period to begin on time! So IF and I really mean IF you became pregnant on Saturday that is too short a notice to your body that conception has happened! And sometimes you can get your period well into your 1st trimester.

So I think you have dodged a bullet here OK? Even though you can get pregnant at anytime through the month - even when you are having your period - it is less likely than when you are ovulating! Add that to the fact that he didn't ejaculate then I think you are safe! Unfortunately it is too late now to take the morning after pill! Which has to be taken within 3 days of unprotected sex!

I hope this answers your question and puts your mind at ease a little! And plese know NEVER to take chances with this OK? ALWAYS have your partner use a condom! With the massive increase of STD's/STI's a pregnancy could be the least of your worries OK? good luck and health honey!

Some tests say they can detect it 5 days prior, but I would wait till your next period is due! Because you had sex the day before your period, I think that would be about right to be able to detect your HCG level - pregnancy hormones! So in about 3 weeks should be about right! Good luck hon!
