Hi there,
I think that high fever is often a sign of urinary tract infection. I read somewhere that fever is most common sign of the urinary tract infection in babies and in most cases there are no other symptoms involved. However if you notice smelly urine in your baby than you can be sure that this is a urinary tract infection. The fact is that urinary tract infection is treated with antibiotics but I don’[t think that you can get any over the counter and you need to see a doctor to get this thing treated. Also try to lower the fewer with cold towels, but don’t overdo it. I hope this helped you.
Best wishes,
Marco

Well,
If I am not mistaking fever can be a symptom of many things in the babies. However not many know that urinary tract infection in babies can be the main cause of the high fever in babies. The thing is that when your baby has urinary tract infection the only symptoms in most cases is just high fever. Have you noticed maybe any foul smell in the urine of the baby? have you considered taking your baby to the doctor’s office to see what can be done to lower the fewer in the baby? Try not to give your baby any pills on your own because babies are very fragile and medication might not help in every case.

Good luck,
Karel

Hallo,
If I am not mistaking high fever in young babies can be caused by urinary tract infection. The fact is that urinary tract infection doesn’t have to have any other symptom. The baby has pain but it is not possible for her to tell you where is this pain located. Also if you notice any foul smell in your baby’s urine this can also indicate that this fever is caused by urinary tract infection. In any case you should consider to talk to your doctor about this and see what can be done. I hope that you will manage the get this fever in your baby down.

All the best to you,
Karen
