Ok I am 24 with 2 children 4months and 3 years old. I was on the IUD after I had my little girl in November last year and had it removed on December 21 last year. I was put on YAZ but only took it for about 3 days because it can make my breast milk supply low. I had a period that same day the IUD was removed and it was horrible. I had horrible cramps and diarrhea. Then about 2 weeks after my period I had the same cramps and a discharge that was brown and thick like snot. I had another period on January 19th and it lasted for about 4 days with the same cramps and diarrhea. Now today February 4th, 2008 I am having horrible pain and a thick, pink discharge. I did call my dr. but they just said to take ibuprofen and if it gets worse I need to be seen. I don't think it is normal. Oh and yesterday morning I had trouble urinating but without burning it just was hard to get it out and it hurt afterwards. I don't think I have a bladder infection though. If anyone can tell me what they think I would appreciate it thanks.

It sounds like some sort of complication with the IUD. It's a shame they keep telling you not to go in to see the doctor.

I suggest you see a doctor at urgent care. You need to be seen soon since you're having severe symptoms. Perhaps then you can get the care you need.
