I am moderately sexually active, I have sex with my partner about twelve tines a year. A little big reason for this is his age, but also after having sex it takes a lot of creams and douching; playing with my balance to get it back to a normal state. We are monogamous, but I shy away because I know that after sex my discharge will go up and down a roller coaster ride for sometimes months. After reading about cervical mucus with epithelial cells I believe that is my issue but is there anything I can do to maintain a healthy balance...before and after sex?
I know douching is not healthy but my partner enjoys oral sex....without douching and the cervical mucus...I'm not confident to let him do that even though I've had regular GYN visits...I just wonder if there should be done underlying pathology I should be screened for; possibly somthing wrong with my uterus, or tubed. The problem is getting my physicians to find anything wrong to indicate such exams, according to them my discharge is normal. I don't like it though and it's embarrasing to have to douche so often to get rid of the mucus.
Would regulating my cycle with oral contraception help and if so, which type should I use?
I recently was told I had sugar in my urine and read all of the articles in CM so I'm unsure if introducing a contraceptive would help since most contraceptives contain estrogen.
I think there are a few though that don't or have very little estrogen.
Please advise.
