My guess is that it will surely help her up to one point. Aphasia treatments might take a lot of time before the improvement is shown. Therefore, she has to be patient, and do everything the doctor told her. I assume she might go to therapy group sessions with other people in similar trouble, which will help her deal with this condition on emotional basis.

I would like to hear something more about the possible aphasia treatments. My mother has sustained brain damage when she fell down the stairs last year (and broken the hip also). Speaking problems came almost immediately and we just don’t know how to deal with it. Doctor recommended speech therapy and I would like to know how effective it is?
