How fast does Emphysema progress?

i am 67 yrs female never smoked i have been diagnosed  with emphysema   however i lived with my husband who smoked the first25yrs we were trogether i also worked in more than one factory that i am sure contributed to whats happened to me .i have been diagnosed about 2 yrs in that time i had many nights i couldnt lay down to sleep. then later on i give out of breath to make my bed andother housework on the 18th of jan 13 i went in the hospital with pneumonia now im on oxygen at night do breathing treatments 3 aday and uuse advair 2 a day can any one tell me what i have to look foward to with this diease an is there any way to know how fast it will progress  oh i forgot the dr at t5he e said i was having exerbation thats probley spelled wrong sorry
