Hi,
I gave birth to my firt child 5 months ago.I chose not to breastfeed for presonal reasons but I still do not have a period.I was just wondering if this is common.

Since you didnt breastfeed this is definately too long. You should take a HPT and if its negative talk to your Gyn. Have you been using any sort of contrceptive? If you are not breastfeeding you usually become fertile again about 6 weeks after birth.
