I've been on the pill for 8 years and have just recently stopped taking it. Of course I heard all my life to take the pill at the SAME time EVERY day to prevent pregnancy...and you could get pregnant with just ONE missed pill. On the other hand I've also heard that if you're a long time user you'll have to be off of the pill for a year or more before pregnancy will occur. My fiance and I are ready to let nature take it's course. Originally, because I still had two months worth of pills in the medicine cabinet and didn't want to let that money spent go to waste I kept taking them; just got neglegant about it, missing or skipping two, three, even four pills here and there. Nothing happened. Now, for almost a month, I have been completely off of them.
