Hello, I have been a passionate smoker for 15 years and that led me to COPD easily. I am still a smoker, but I take maybe one cigarette in couple of days, I am afraid that anything more than that will only worsen my condition. This also means that I m undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation by the doctor’s orders. How am I supposed to know if this treatment is adequate?

Well, very simple. If you fell better and healthier than before the therapy started, then it is actually working. But be aware that COPD will not be gone with that therapy; its symptoms will be subdued only. Usually this rehabilitation includes breathing techniques, adequate diets, counseling, exercises and sometimes even emotional support.
