Initially I was using hydrocortisone for the itch and irritation I’ve been having for a while. The second day I felt almost all better, but then I read on several sites not to use hydrocortisone, so I stopped. Now, I stopped using the hydrocortisone after the 2nd day, and this is the 5th day it feels more irritated than before. Why is there written that I can’t use hydrocortisone If it makes it heal? I don’t know what else to us. Personally I think those are herpes sores.

I think that is because the hydrocortisone is an immunosuppressant. They are good for allergic rashes and the like, when the immune system reaction is the cause of the problem and not the cure, but very bad for herpes. Cortisone, being a steroid, feeds the virus, and can cause it to spread. I had some time ago, what I thought was a patch of eczema behind my knee. I treated it with the hydrocortisone cream. Before I could say boo the one inch patch was down to my ankle, turned out to be and outbreak. I am using the tea tree oil and it's not itching or irritating as much as it was.
