Hi, I am hypothyroid for four years. But, everything that is wrong with me I take as a symptom of hypothyroidism. I have impaired memory, hives and I feel fatigue all the time. May I ask other hypothyroid to post their symptoms?

Hi, I am hypothyroid for 10 years and If there are any fluctuations in level of thyroid hormon I feel it easily. I noticed occurrence of slowed speech and a hoarse, breaking voice and even deepening of the voice can also be noticed. I have poor memory, as years go by, I can less an less relay on my hea and I have to right everything down an use memo and remainders on telepfone. I used to have migraine too. Depression is another symptom, and the older I get it is more dificult for me to deal with it. I have to take care of what I eat as I always have constipation and generally slowed metabolism, and too many kilos.

I have had hypothyroidism since I was in 5th grade.. I am 21 now. My whole entire life I have constantly been nauceous. Nobody cares. Docters suck. They think it is nothing and I just live with it. I am tired.. all the time, I feel like an id**t 50% of the time because of memory problems... my family doesn't understand it.

I know what you mean! :o I went through a phase when i was 12 where i would wake up and feel so sick to my stomach that i thought i was pregnant. After not eating much for about three years, i finally fell out of it.

I have had the same problem feeling like i am a total ditz. I got lost tonight for nearly two hours trying to find a gym that i have been to in the same day.

With me it feels like 90% percent of the time though, and those days when i feel good are rare. I have been getting in trouble since i was in grade school for forgetting to do things. My dad still thinks its all in my head.

I thought it was just me, since everyone i know thinks i am constantly stupid or something now, and i won't lie: sometimes i feel stupid trying to think through the fog.

I recently had been sick for about a week, and once I started to vomit and have diarrhea for 2 days, I told my boyfriend that I NEEDED to go to the ER. (I am a big woos when it comes to having that feeling of constant intense nausea). They did a blood test, and everything came back alright except for my thyroid level, which came back as .250. The ER doctor told me to make sure my family doctor got a copy of this, but my family doctor doesn't seem concerned about it being low at all.

I understand that I vomited twice, but I have IBS and have been dealing with diarrhea for about 2 years now on and off. I'm tired all the time, feel sick to my stomach 80% of the time, and I'm tired everyday (no matter how many hours I sleep at night).

I'm pushing for him to refer me to an endocrinologist, because I just don't feel........ right. I haven't felt "right" for a long time.

Any reassurance or any comments at all to help would be appreciated! Thanks all! ~Liz
