My name is Mena and I am fourteen years old. I weight 140.5 lbs and am 5'1". I am not at all comfortable with how I look, and although no one really teases me about it, I am extremely self conscious. I usually wear baggy clothing because I don't like showing much skin; I'm also painfully shy and can be rather sensitive. My mother hasn't ever told me that I'm fat, but she has definitely IMPLIED it.
That's what hurts the most; its knowing that not even my mother really thinks I look good. She always glares at me when I get a second helping, or spills a cup of soda down the drain (usually one that I just took out of the fridge), etc. I'm so sick of it I finally just want to get healthy and eat right and look better and more importantly FEEL better about myself so my mom could get off my ass.
I'm tired of hating myself and not feeling good about the way I look.
I'm tired of it, and I want to change. I want to change everything and be a healthier, newer person.
I'm just not sure how to get there. I have goals, but I really need some help. I'd like to eventually change all of my bad eating habits, improve on my fitness overall, and become more self confident. Along the way, I'd also like to lose about fourty pounds.
Any pointers, tips, ideas? Anything and everything I'm willing to listen to and try; I'm really at my wits end and I'd like to change and start changing now.

Hey first... to tell you the truth diets at such a little age are no fun.. and someone little should never have to go on a diet. Do like any sports? I'm not saying you have to be a pro But something you could do on time your not busy?
lets just go with you liking soccer well work out for hr a day play soccer..
all you really need is a hr a day doing something you enjoy and you will loss weight and you will not even know your doing it.
Eat things you still like.. but mix it up with good thing too. And do be shy always remember you are as pretty as you feel (:
