Weight gain after such a massive surgery such as hysterectomy happens not because you eat too much or, in this case, because the hormones go wild, but simply because it takes up to six months for your body to heal. In first month or so it really is not a matter of if you want to be active or worry about weight - the fact is that you are simply going to get tired much faster and you simply wont have the opportunities to spend the energy from the food. But, as I said, it happens with any major surgery and obviously, this weight gain is not something excessive and it can be reversed, especially if you take into account that you already are an active person aware of potential problem. Just give yourself time to heal first, than worry about weight gain - if it even happens.
