I have been having some issues since December of 2011. It started very sporadic but has become more consistent and debilitating. I will give you some background information on me so that I can help as much as possible.
I am a 23 yr old female, 5'9" and 170lbs. Not completely fit but not obese. I have been seeing an ent since October. My ears have been bothering me like no other. They constantly feel full, pressured, even wet. He says my inner ear looks fine and that he thinks my allergies are causing my sinuses to swell and cause my Eustachian tubes to close off but there is nothing he can do. I went to my dermatologist in March. I had a rash that looked like a ringworm but I had been treating it with antifungal medicine and it had not gone away or changed in any way. She tested me real quick and determined it was not ringworm and did a biopsy. She also wanted to run some bloodwork and it came back my ferritin levels were very low and my hemoglobin a1c was elevated to a 6.0. Not diabetic but prediabetic. She sent me to my primary care physician and he ran a lot of tests, more blood work, upper endoscopy, endoscopy, diabetes tests. All that came back was that I am insulin resistant and have gastritis. They put me on metformin for the insulin resistance. I dont think it has helped much if any at all.
Now to my current symptoms. I am unable to drive. Not physically, well maybe so. When I drive, I cannot drive unless the window is rolled down. And even then so my symptoms are still there. Its as though my vision starts to narrow, my head feels pressured from the top working its way down to my ears. Then ( to my knowledge, a panic attack) my heart starts to race, I feel almost unable to make my mind and eyes 'refocus'. It was happening every once and awhile, but now it happens everytime I get into the car, whether I am driving or I am riding. It even happens when I am walking. Any and all help is so appreciated. I have been to so many doctors. I just want to know the right direction to go. A neurologist, a neuro-otologist, an ent. I will answer any and all question and I appreciate your time.
