Yesterday my father and i had a big argument about religion he had been drinking and said that we were all going to burn in hell and that i was a "heathen". I am a very godfearing person so i took offense to that and said that he needed to calm down, he then began to describe the terrible things that awaited me in hell and started becoming violent. He yelled at me a bit and i started to cry he told we i was a weakling and started screaming in my face at that moment it felt like something inside me snapped literally something snapped and i just walked away and sat down in the other room with a blank stare on my face today i'm not really talking and feel extremely depressed my mother says i look terrible and need to calm down, but what has happened to me and is it permanent?

Hi,

That does sound pretty harsh. How old you?

Getting yelled at by your parents can be tough. But as you grow older you'll see that it's not that big of a deal.

Also, i don't believe its permanent. You just need a couple of days to get back to normal. Try not to take it to seriously next time.
