I did some research and I found out that it can be a little bit rough to have any dental work when you are heaving heart murmur symptoms. Is this true? I can’t go like this to seminary: /

Hey Mark.
When have you discovered that you are having heart murmur or better question is – what symptoms do you have? Many murmurs are discovered unexpectedly when doctors listen to someone’s heart during a routine checkup. Well, now you need to know do you have it or what symptoms are indicators to it.
I am not sure about dental work but I know that some medications that you are using during dental procedure can affect it and it can raise the risk factors. That is why you need to consult your doctor about it and ask him this. I need to tell you that your post is a little bit confusing for me, it doesn’t tell that much. Sry

Hello everyone.
Well, the truth is that no one goes to his/her dentists to have their heart checked up, but when you are dealing with heart murmurs than this story changes totally. Well, the dentist or oral surgeon should be worried if you came to visit him and you are having heart murmur or some other heart issue. But, a heart murmur is a concern to any oral surgeon because of the infection!
So, yes…it is hard to tell can you have any dental work because a lot of dentists and oral surgeons find the prudent to give their patients some medications to reduce the risk of infection caused by bacteria. That is why you need to tell your dentist if you are dealing with heart murmur.

Hey there everyone. I hope that you are doing fine.
So, my friend is a dentist and I asked her about this issue a few months ago. She told me that this can be very complicated because of this bacteria.
It is complicated because even a very simple heart murmur needs to be treated. She told me that when you want to have any dental work, you should consult your doctor first and then talk to dentist to whom you trust.
Trust me, it is not easy to talk about this. But it is very important for you to know that there are some complications that can occur.
