i have irregular periods but want to get pregnant

I have always had irregular periods so when my husband and I wanted a child I thought we would never have one. I think we tried for like a whole year and nothing so we got the thought in our heads that it would probably never happen. I prayed desperately many nights for it too, but never. Then one day, a week after we both got laid off I found out I was pregnant. Right when we didn't need it to happen and around the time I finally gave up all hope it just happened. I know it is not like this for everyone, but it has happened to quiet a few people I know. The thing you have to remember is to not stress yourself out about it because it will not help and it might prevent it from happening. I know this is had to do, but if you really want it it should happen.
