I got married two weeks ago and we are already TTC. I have always had irregular periods since I was a teeanger. I sometimes skip a month or two. I thought I was ovulating during my honeymoon because all the signs were in my body. I was so shocked when I got my period since we are trying to conceive. Is it normal to have irregular periods or should I be worried. Also when am I likely to be ovulating? When is the best time to get intimate with irregular periods in order to conceive?

If you do have irregular periods, it is certainly possible to become pregnant. Understanding the causes of irregular periods and how you can help to restore cycle regularity can help as you embark on your trying to conceive. Irregular periods can indicate that you are ovulating inconsistently or, in some cases, not at all. As you already know, it is impossible to conceive without an egg, so the less you ovulate the less opportunities you have to conceive.
