It's absolutely normal bleeding on and off for a few days, it possibly caused some friction and agitation on your vagina.
Every woman's physiology is different and some females have thicker hymens or have them very slightly open for menstrual blood to flow out, part of that heavy bleeding could be the cleansing of your uterus, but it could be injury. If it doesn't stop bleeding soon and unless it's your period, go see a gynecologist to make sure it's nothing more serious.
