I'm 19 years old and had my tonsils removed September 9th. The first day home from the hospital the pain was nothing. My ENT prepared me for the pain I was soon going to feel but I never thought it would be this intense. I thought day by day that I would slowly start to feel better. NOT. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. I've been taking my medicine as needed, I've been trying to drink as much water as I can, I've been icing my neck, I've been relaxing. Sometimes I feel like the pain is unbearable but it does get better. This morning I woke up with a dry cough that had ended up making my eyes water and I started feeling like I was choking. Yawning, coughing, talking, these things are extrememly uncomfortable. I'm just waiting for the day whenever I wake up and feel myself again.
