I am in a suboxone replacement therapy with a pain management doctor. I am currently taking 4mg morning and night. I think I am mentally ready to begin weaning myself off off of the suboxone, put before I do I want to know about withdrawals. I am not good with withdrawals, so I don't want to start the weaning only to be unsuccessful and have to go back on. I would like to hear from someone that has experienced a doctor monitored weaning process where the doctor has controlled the dose amounts and the dates to reduce the dosage. I would like to hear from them about the withdrawals. How bad were they and what were they like. Thanks J.L. :?

I'm on Suboxone right now and haven't stopped using it as of yet. One of my friends was on Suboxone but after awhile she wanted to stop taking it altogether. Here is what can be expected as far as the withdrawals are concerned:
Sweating
Nausea
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Pain
Leg restlessness
Irritability
Anxiety
Cold or flu symptoms
Insomnia

My friend however only experienced the Nausea, Diarrhea, Sweating and Irritability.

These symptoms will peak in intensity after about 2 days, and should be diminished after about 5 days, although most people will feel lingering withdrawal pains for a couple of weeks or more after stopping.

Everyone's body is different though so, of course it will vary from person to person.
I wish you the best of luck! :-)

Does anyone know a good suboxone doctor on Long Island that will see me through the weaning off process?
