I was punched 9 years ago, they put a like wire inside my face, it hurts

Hey guys I wS suckered punched piss drunk 9 yrs ago. Fractured jaw in two places. They put a plate n like wire inside my face. So the needle or wiring is it hitting my bottom front tooth causingan infection in that tooth. Friday I have surgery they want to remove the plates n that tooth. Question is should I go along with it cause its been 9 yrs .that tooth has always been like that and a little loose. Gonna suck going around with a missing bottom tooth for a long time
